wife is partially sighted but wants an mp3 player. I've heard the nano 4th gen can speak the menus to you. Question is does it speak the albums to you as well or is it just the menus? Also do you have to use itunes to get the text to speech to work?
Thanks

1. Yes, the nano can speak the menues, as well as things like artist and album names. There is actually very little on the nano that does not speak at all. It is also extremely responsive.
2. Yes. You enable this feature in iTunes when you connect a fourth gen nano. Although, since iTunes creates little "voice tags" for everything on the nano, that it leaves less room for music. Having said that though, they really don't take up that much room. Last I checked mine took about 128MB for all the voice tags on my 16GB.

Yup, works pretty well, doesn't speak the now playing song and artist though, but does speak the menus and the artists/albums/songs as you scroll through the menus. Have to install the new Itunes and enable the option on the Nano.
