So after seeing the deal on 20GB's for 269, I decided it would be worth it to sell my 2nd Gen 10GB to upgrade.
I actually had a few offers for $200 and one offer for $225. However, the guy who could pay $225 could only pick it up today, and I wouldn't have the new 20GB to transfer everything over to. So, unfortunately, I had to turn the $225 offer down. However, upon this situation, I decided that I wouldn't be able to wait for payment to come before I could place an order for the 20GB.
Fast forward to last night at 4am, and I place an order for the $269 20GB. However, I accidentally ordered 2! Since it was 4am, the offices were closed and I had to wait before I could cancel the extra iPod.
At this point, all is well. I still have the $200 offer, and the new iPod will soon be sorted out and I will have twice as much memory.
Fast forward to 12 noon, and I call the company. They said it was in the "warehouse" and that she would have to cancel the entire order and I would have to reorder it online...
So she cancels the order and I proceed to go online to reorder.
THE OFFER IS GONE. Gone from every site that had a similar deal. When I call back, the lady said they were on back order, and that when I ordered them, they were supposedly on order as well, even though she said they were ready to ship out.
So now, I don't have the new 20Gb with the oh so lovely new plastic smell, and I don't know how much longer my $200 offer guy will stick around.....
