I have seen countless guides on how to install the ipod with or without interfaces through the cd changer port. Has anyone ever directly wired an ipod to the stock cd changer wire bundle? My after market stereo was recently stolen for the 3rd time so i think I will be sticking with stock from now on. I got a new METRA wire bundle to re-install my Blazer '04 stock radio. The wire bundle also came with the bundle for the cd changer. My question is, is there anyway to connect the ipod directly wiring to that bundle. Possibly tapping the cd changer/aux wire to the head unit power, and somehow combining the cd changer/aux left and right audio to a single wire with an ipod audio plug in tip?

THE 2003 blazer gm radio was the last radio with cd changer controls
the 2004 don't have cd changer controls unless it is a late 2003
If there is a am/fm and cd/aux buttons you have cd changer controls
If you have a BAND and CD/AUX buttons, no cd changer controls but you have Satellite controls
this port is not going to open unless you plug the sat radio or ipod interface
the best part of the ipod interface is that it will display all the ipod text on the radio screen
this is the best interface i use but there are a few other available
