Can we get some reviews of products other than cases? I've been considering buying some products from Kensington, like the LiquidAux, for my car because I'd like a solution that will play audio through the dock connector from both my iPod and iPhone. I find the Amazon reviews to be all over the place and so I'd like a credible, thorough review, the kind that iLounge is known for. I've made many purchasing decisions based on these reviews and I'd like to see a wider variety of products reviewed with more similar products reviewed so comparisons can be drawn.

Don't we have enough reviews of cases? This is the place to go for everything iPod related and it's lame that the only things that are consistently reviewed are cases. How about something for the rest of us who obsess about things other than whether our Little Precious will get scratched!? Like how it sounds in the car?

Excuse the rant. Thanks for reading.

Well iLounge has reviewed lots of FM transmitters. Including some of the previous kensington ones such as their Liquid FM and others: http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/kensington-liquid-fm-plus-deluxe-fm-transmitters/

The liquidAUX seems pretty new, so iLounge may have not received a unit to review yet. And since it's only for pre-order no regular users will have one.

Always keep an eye on the "first looks" review area for what is in the pipeline: http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/firstlooks

Thanks for the quick reply. The LiquidAUX has been out for some months now. And since it is the only product (that I know of -- I would love to know of others if they exist) that has sound out of the dock connector for both the iPod and the iPhone, I'm quite surprised it hasn't yet been reviewed.

Will someone please review it? Thanks.

According to the website it says "pre-order" so I made the assumption it was yet to actually be released.

One of the Belkin Tunecasts does both: http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/belkin-tunecast-auto-for-iphone-and-ipod/

That link is for the LiquidAUX Deluxe. The first look here on iLounge was for the LiquidAUX, not the Deluxe version. I first found out about it on this site. The LiquidAUX is available for purchase and has been for a few months now. There are quite a few reviews of it on Amazon.com by users but they vary drastically. The LiquidAUX Deluxe, what you linked, is not available yet. I'm not sure if that has been featured anywhere on iLounge.

Thanks for the Tunecast recommendation, but I won't touch FM transmitters. I'm looking for a solution that plugs directly into the Aux input on my head unit.

Ah, I see my mistake now.

I can understand a distaste for FM transmitters. I use one now out of necessity. My next car will have an aux input if it kills me!

No telling why it has yet to be reviewed as the first look for both the deluxe and regular version was in May...

You could always shoot our reviewers a kind email questioning about when a review might be seen.

Cheers.
