iPod connectivity in Mazda3 ?

Hi,

I recently purcahsed Mazda3 Hatchback with 6 in-disc-changer option. I want to know how can I use iPod with my new car ? My previous car was Nissan Altima & I was able to use AUX-input on that car (Kenwood Headunit). I dont want to go FM transmitter way.

Hey mjoshi, what color/equipment did you get on yours? Wife and I have a Black Mica, 5-speed, fog-lights, moon roof, 6-disc one. Love the car.

Finally I found someone interested in replying about Mazda3. I've Lava orange 5 door Hatchback with ABS/SAB package + 6-disc changer & moon roof package. I've manual transmission and love the way it handles (sometimes it is annoying as I'm a newbie on Manual). I got mine for 17385 + Tax under S-plan.

I'm regular on mazda3forums.com. What other site you are refering to ? Actually I'm waiting for this http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17396
to use Aux-in on my MZ3. Till then I'll be using CD in my MZ3.

I'm in Boston, MA and I've seen only one Black HB todate. I'm yet to come across any MZ3 in my area.

If you are including the hardwired fm modulators in the term "FM transmitter" than you are out of luck.

I'd be amazed if your headunit has an aux input. And since it has a built-in CD changer, it doesn't have a CD changer input that you could get a converter for.

So, unless you're willing to use a hardwired fm modulator, the only solution is to replace the headunit.

I like that site you listed. I'll have to check it out. The site that I was thinking about was www.mazdaiii.com , which might be the same one your talking about. The idea of using the button on the dash and mode button on the steering wheel to switch to an iPod connection (aux) would be great. We got our car right at 18k.
