Refub iPod Touch questions

If I buy a refurb ipod touch from the online apple store, will it be the 1g or 2g version?

Also if I get a $100 apple store gift card can I use that to buy a refub ipod online in conjunction with a regular credit card from the online apple store?

Ok I figured out that it is the old ipod touch, but still no idea if I can use a card for refurbs at the online store.
