what are all the differences, im buying used and need to know what im getting.... whens the 3rd gen coming out? price point? thanks for the help!

the main differences are the 2nd gen has volume control on the side of the device (1st gen volume can only be adjusted by touching screen) and a somewhat weak built in speaker. I dont know when the 3rd gen will come out, has to be at least a year away. my local sam's club has a 1st gen 16gb touch for $251, so if you can live without the side volume control and built in speaker, its a really good deal.
