Questons about iTrip

Hey guys, I'm considering buying an iTrip for the 2G Touch since I'm tired of using CDs in the car

1) Does iTrip work with the 2G touch?

2) How much battery life does it take to use iTrip? I don't wanna get the car charger and drain my car's battery charging my iPod

I can tell you that the iTrip Auto Smart Scan model works because I use it with the 2g iTouch. As far as battery drain goes, there's essentially none if your car is running and minimal if it isn't - the current draw is very low.
