Are there any hacks for it yet?
I know ipodhacks are working on some but none are available yet.:(
Also, I need cases but all I have found is the one from zipod, DLO and another one I forgot. Any where else I can find one?

thanks, but do you know if regular ipod hacks work with the mini ipod?
How do you format or delete/wipe/clean the songs from the mini ipod?
Could I delete the games/contacts or something else to get back more HD space?
All it comes with is 3.7 gb.

Why not try some and let everyone know what does and doesn't work.

With your iPod set to manual update, you can delete songs directly on the iPod (make sure you have them on your computer's hard drive somewhere or you'll lose them).

Games...no. Contacts...yes, although you really won't save much space as they don't take up much room.

By manual update I'm referring to changing your iPod's preferences in iTunes to "manually sync" songs from iTunes onto your iPod versus doing an "auto-sync". This will allow you to drag-and-drop songs from your iTunes library onto your iPod and also allow you to delete songs from your iPod (while it's connected to iTunes).

The short answer is...you can't.

But, what you can do is use the star ratings to indicate a song that you want to get rid of. When I load new songs onto my iPod I give them a 3-star rating by default. While listening to songs on my Ipod, if I find a song that I really like I'll bump up the rating to 4 or 5 stars. For songs which I don't really like and want to delete from the iPod I give them a 2-star rating. All of my smart playlists are setup to only place songs on my iPod that have a rating of 3 stars or higher, so the next time I sync my iPod the 2-star songs are automatically removed from the iPod. Finally, I use a 1-star rating to indicate that there is a problem with how the song was ripped (skips, pops, etc.). From time-to-time I look at my Smart Playlist that displays all of my 1-star songs and I try re-ripping them to see if I can get a better AAC file.

Im gonna test to see if some of the *new* updated hacks on this site are compatible with the mini. I removed the linux and rebooted the backup, time to install hacks.

3.7gb; the 4gig figure is as-if 4gig was 4 billion bytes. Marketing speak that gives a larger capacity.

So deleting stuff won't give you back an extra 300mb.
