I've been using the Scosche IUFMD for two years now via the dock adaptor. However, I have gotten tired of having to crank the volume up on my car stereo and deal with static\white noise.

I found this thread while searching for a way to minimize FM static\interference and it gave me an idea to try the incl. 3.5mm mini-plug wire that came with it. Only draw back will be that I wont be able to charge the pod. However, I guess I can use the dock connector on long road trips.

Btw, my Honda Civic has the antennae built into the rear window.

I've contacted Scosche tech support about this. Waiting to hear from them...

Anyone else out there having the static interference with their Scosche IUFMD?

Allright, little update. On the drive home from work today. I followed a little tip from someone on the iLounge forum.

What I did do was tune into a station at a higher frequency rather than the regular 80-90.0Fm that I usually select. Tuning into 104.7FM worked wonders for me. Also switching the EQ on (this is the 1st time I've turned on the EQ since I bought the iPOD Video (5.5G) 3 years ago - the EQ is a surefire battery killer when not docked) really helped in boosting the over all sound of the playback.

Oh and....there was no heavy fuzz or static...explain that. The slight hiss\static noise only seemed to be noticable when the iPOD was paused.

Next test is to try the 3.5mm to mini-USB plug instead of the mini-USB to iPOD Dock connector that I usually use.

Update. 3.5mm min-plug sounded like crap, low volume.

The dock connector sounds 10x better and sharp!
