I jailbroke my iPod Touch months ago (1.14) and everything worked fine. Suddenly today, I go to listen to some music, and it's all gone! Music and videos are gone, but apps + photo's work fine. When I plug it into my computer, iTunes is saying that there is a problem with my ipod and it needs to be restored. I am unable to access anything but the summary tab. If I restore, will that get rid of my jailbreak and install the new 2.0 version (which I hear hasn't been jailbroken yet so I don't want to use that)?? Is there anyway around this?

Yes, if you restore it will update it and remove the jailbreak. Why not just use the app store? There's some good, free apps there.

I'm more into the customization (wallpapers, skins) and the NES games app. Ah crap, there goes my day off x_X
- Is there anyway to keep the 1.14 software?

Actually, you might be able to get it out of restore mode using iBrickr. If you download the latest version, run it and plug in your iPod Touch, it may say that your iPod Touch is in restore mode and offer to just restart it to get it out which I was able to do a couple times when a bad application locked it up. Saved me a restore...

If you do have to restore, you can always shift/option-click the Restore button and select your 1.1.4 firmware and rejailbreak. Of course, there's now a jailbreak for 2.x (QuickPwn) and both Customize/Winterboard and NES have been ported already.

Thank you for your response DerekVOF :)
I had some time this weekend, so I reformatted, updated to the 2.01 software, had to get that framework update, and QuickPwn-ed it. Now, it's all up and running and I like Winterboard alot :) YAY
