hello
has anyone tried the 1 g cases for the new 2g?

someone gave me a refurb 1g touch . i ordered an iskins case in anticipation but never opened the touch- since the new touch 2g came out before i opened the ig, i exchanged it for the 2g with cash

but the iskins case hasnt arrived an want to know if anyone tried any of the 1 g cases on the 2g

don't think the cases would work especially because of the volume controls.

yeah and the second gen is thinner isnt it?

you dont want no spare air in the cases, but if you have no other choice then its better than scratches and all that.

The power support screen protectors like the crystal and anti-glare film sets work with the 2nd gen ipod touch so I would at least get one of those for now for some protection.

wellll, sort of. I made the mistake of picking up the screen protector kit that Apple carries (Power Support, I guess) and while the screen protector part of it works fine, the back protector doesn't have quite enough cling to stick to the angled bits, which is to say most of the back.

The Belkin product I used on my 1G touch would probably have worked, as it has actually no foolin' adhesive, not just static cling.
