Can you force restore it? Like the hold the buttons for a certain amount of time and all that jazz? I'm not 100% sure how to do it, but someone here knows for sure. YouTube "force restore touch". See what you can find.

Yeah, you have to put it into force restore mode (I think referenced as DFU). Connect your iPod Touch to your computer. Turn your iPod Touch off (hold down the top button and slide the red off slider). Then hold down the top button and the home button for ten seconds then let go of the top button while still holding the home button and KEEP holding it for up to 30 seconds. If it doesn't work the first time, try it again - iTunes should pop up and say that it sees an iPod Touch in restore mode. Click restore and you'll be able to get it back up...

that doesn't work either itunes says an ipod has been detected, but it could not be identified
properly. please disconnected and reconnected the ipod then try again. an unknown error as occurred (-11). i disconnected and reconnected but nothing happened. =( =(

I guess you can go into an apple store or call tech support.

Yea, you can enjoy the touch dude... just have to wait 8 years. but by then, imagine how thin the ipod touch will be!!!!! but knowing apple, max memory will still be 32gb so you will still be up to date.

If you connect it to the computer that you normally sync with it should unlock. Beyond that, you might have a really long wait :(

Yeah, I would take it to the Apple store. I'm sure they will need some sort or proof of ownership, just to make sure it's not stollen.
