Was wondering if it makes a difference whether your ipod touch is completely full in terms of performance. I keep deleting stuff to make sure my 16 GB ipod touch has between 500mb to 1G of free space so that it works at its best performance. Does this rule just apply to hard drives and computers or can it apply to flash based drives like the iPod touch.

I've seen a few posts that having some free space is helpful, but never any official word from Apple on the matter. I typically leave a 100MB or so at least free just in case...

Well the more space you have the better/faster it runs.
I have a 3rd gen Nano and I filled it up to 7 1/2 gigs to see what will happen, the cover art for the songs including for cover flow took a long time to load, when I took all the vids and shows of it came to 3.54 gigs, now it runs fast and normal. So yeah having space makes it run better
