I was just ready to pick up a 32gig 2G touch at the Apple store when I noticed that it would not charge from my Altec Lansing iM600 speaker system. I also use this as a synch dock and do not believe that will work either.
The Apple store employee told me that there are a number of speaker systems that do not work with the new Touch or Nano.
For me, this is a deal breaker. I wonder if anyone knows if it is a physical pinout problem or a firmware issue.
Every iPod nested in the iM600, Bose Soundock, and a couple more were asking to be connected to a power source though docked.
Just wanted to give a heads up, longtime lurker.
