When I am looking at a photo on my iPhone 3g, if I "send photo" write an email but then cancel and "save" the email before sending, where does it go?

I have done this a few times to test it and the message does not appear in the "drafts" folder of the account I sent it from. Anyone else have this problem?

The mail should be saved in the Drafts folder of the account you attempted to send it from. I tried it by using both my default mail account (Gmail) and another (MobileMe). In either case the mail was saved in the Drafts folder of the respective account.

that did't work for me. the mail is not saved there. In settings/account info/advanced/drafts mailbox I have the option to save drafts "on my iphone" not "on the server." I'll try changing that, but I wish "on my iphone" worked!

ideas, anyone?

Ah, that's the difference. I have the option set to save mail "on the server." It is a natural course of action for me since I use IMAP access. Just curious, why do you need to save mail "on the iPhone"? All IMAP folders, inclucding Drafts, are accessible locally when the connection to the IMAP server is interrrupted.

i guess i don't HAVE to have it set for local, but it does seem odd that i cannot find the draft when it is saved locally, which should theoretically be easier, no?

Anyhow, prob solved. "On Server" it is . . . thanks for listening!

It could be that the local Drafts folder is only available for POP accounts. I don't have any POP account to try out so I can't say for sure, but that's certainly a possibility. If that is the case, Apple should definitely make that clear.
