Does anyone know if regular retail stores (other than Apple stores) are selling the 2G Touches? Like, Circuit City / Best Buy / etc.

but nowhere else.
dunno about walmart though...

I just picked up a 32 gig 2G at the Best Buy in Oceanside.

Im in Cali and the Best Buys that are close dont have them in stock, I would have to drive like 1 1/2 hours just to go to a Best Buy that has it in stock, I dont want to do that.

Yes check your local Bestbuy. i got my 32 gig at the local bestbuy after checking availability online. :) HTH

Has anyone found that the "Store Availability" is incorrect? For instance, has the website said there are none available when in reality, they are?
Or have you guys pretty much seen accurate availability records?

From what I've seen the "Store Availability" is pretty accurate. I called several, and like it said online they did not have them..... funny thing is the Wal-marts have them! I picked my 16 up yesterday at a plain old Wal-mart.....

beware of best buy's in store availability. i checked this morning, and all the local stores (chino hills, city of industry, west covina) had them in stock. so i go to city of industry, and lo and behold, they dont' have any. the salesperson checks RSS (their inventory system) and it's right, none of the local stores had any!
so i ended up getting it from apple's site as the local apple store only had 8gb in stock, and i was tired of driving around.
i wish best buy had circuit city's 24 minuite $24 guarantee thing, i would have ordered one right there and then gotten a gift card for my trouble...
