Touch and Contacts/Notes

Just a question... on my ipod touch, my contacts and notes are REALLY slow to browse through. i mean, i have to wait a good 7 seconds before i can even scroll my contacts (which, theres like maybe 20 or so) and then i have to wait a good 3-4 seconds just for the contact to open up.

is there any reason for this? the ipod is the 8gb, last model (not the new new ones) only 3g of music, 24 pictures and 23 small small videos. so theres isn't a lot of stuff on it what so ever.

if anyone can offer up suggestions that would be awesome. i tried resetting, but that doesn't help and id have all the major updates.

I have the same problems especially now with the notes app. It has been like that since the 2.x updates. With 2.01 and 2.02 my contacts and setting were slow. Now it just seems to the notes app that is slow with the 2.1 update.
