Not sure if this has been mentioned but the belt clip makes a very easy (kiss) car mount system that is pretty clean. I attached a wide piece of velcro on the clip and another small piece on my dash. Works like a champ. I was looking at other solutions but this works great for me.

I suppose the mini is so light that it doesn't pull the velcro apart when it's stuck in position? I had been thinking along similar lines but didn't think velcro would quite cut it.
I imagine you covered pretty much the whole back part of the clip itself, right? And I suppose it still works fine as a belt clip, as the velcro couldn't really be adding much bulk...

Nicky G.... Yea it doesn't move around at all. I was a bit skeptical at first but it turned out to work great. And yes I pretty much covered the clip up to the slot. Still works great as a belt clip. Plus I could locate it right where I needed it and not have to deal with some kind of special mount.

When sitting in back, the belt clip is going to be great to clip onto the front seat's backs. Therefore, I don't have to hold it :)

Bearjaw....Not sure if I'll get a chance to post pic's but it's pretty straight forward. They sell velcro that is roughly the same width as the clip. Attach the non-loop side to the clip starting from the bottom of the clip up to the slot in the clip. Attach another piece roughly the same size to your dash where you want the iPod mini to be located. Pop it on and off as needed. Couldn't be easier. I realize a lot of people may think it's not that secure but it really is. I was looking at the ProClip's that just came out. Seems like a waste of money to me as good as the velcro system works. Anyone that is unsure how to mount the mini in your car should at least give this a look. The price is definitely right (cheap). The only negative so far is just having the velcro attached to your dash all the time. Most of the time the mini's there anyway so it's no big deal to me. If I get a chance I'll post a couple of pic's.

I just mounted my new mini the same way (velcro) and it works great. I am also using a cassette adapter and belkin charger. Here are some pics...

Awesome Job! It looks very clean! What adapter is that that you are using? It looks expensive. My kinda accessory! LOL
I'm using the Belkin Auto Charger w/Audio for iPod. It cost about $40 at Bestbuy but it is also sold at the Apple store for the same amount.

I mounted a similar device in the car (XM Radio) using some Heavy Duty velcro I got at the local home improvement store. As a warning, if it gets cold where you live, there is a good chance the velcro won't survive the winter. I've been through 2 winters and I had to replace the velcro each spring because the glue simply stopped holding during the cold months.
Just thought I'd share... might be something to keep in mind for later, since its starting to get warmer for now.

Gizmotoy.....Good feedback, thanks. I live in Texas so hopefully it won't be a big issue but I'll be sure and keep an eye on it.
