hey people
i want to get a pair of quality headphones/earphones. im debating between the "Bang & Olufsen EarSet 3" and the "Bose® Mobile On-Ear Headset."
What are peoples experience with other kinds of headphones/earphones? any recommendations?
thanks

For earphones I have the Shure E2c. They are a year or 2 old now, and they have brought newer models out, but these are great in my opinion. They cost about £65 from ebay.

For headphones i use the Audio-Technicha ATH-A900 Art Headphones. These are amazig headphones, that cost about £120. I bought them from audiocubes.

Make sure and double check compatibility. Some headphones may have trouble with iPhone because of the circuitry for the inline switch in the default phones.

Yes the Shure E2C headphones work great with the iPhone. They are good on flights as well because they cancel out any outside noise. For everyday use I still use the standard earphones, I will only use the Shures in a noisy environment.

Having said that, I can't stand the new iPhone 3G headphones. They just won't fit properly. The old iPhone headphones and all other iPod headphones have fit perfectly. Has build quality of the iPhone 3G headphones decreased?

i think people have said that the bose only provides the microphone and that you can only talk through it but you need to do everything else using the phone.
i have personally tried out the bang and olufsen earset 3s and the sound quality is very nice on them and so is the bose.
there is a built in mic on the b&o e3 and it works just like the regular iphone headphones would work.
so yeaa

The headphones didn't change between the 1.0 iPhone and the 3G. They're exactly the same as before.

I use a pair of AKG K27i headphones which I opened up (they come apart very easily) and soldered the original iPhone headset cable to. They sound a million times better and I still have the mic/control features. I didn't even hesitate to rip apart the Apple headset to use the cable since I would never use them anyway. The K27is are over the ear type headphones that can be folded up and while they do leak music somewhat to those around your, they are well worth it considering the bump in sound quality.
