I am looking for new in ear buds to listen to my music.

I have currently SE210s but I have a problem with them.

I have had my SE210s for a little under a year after SHURE replaced my E3cs under warranty.

I have noticed that the cord coming out of the earpiece has started to crack on both the left and right sides around where it curves around the top of the ear.

I contacted SHURE and they have said that the warranty of the SE210s is from when the E3cs were purchased not when I got my replacements! However they can sell me some more at £80!!

Well whilst they may feel this is a good deal, its not as I can get them cheaper on the net, my issues is if I buy another pair am I going to get the same issue again in under a year.

I am annoyed because I use them a lot as I commute 4 hours a day but I have always used the case to store them in.

I guess you could say because they were a warranty replacement I shouldn't complain as they were essentially free but I am troubled by the lack of staying power in these earpieces and I am glad I didn't pay for them.

So I am looking for something comparable but I think I will give another manufacturer my money this time, any recommendations? Looking to spend about the same money as before which is about £100.

Sennheiser CX300,Sony EX85-own the latter and it's been very durable.

Sony EX90s seem durable, and stay in the ear well for me. They sound OK, but sound-wise there is better available.

I've only had Denon 751s for a few weeks, and 551s for a few days. The 751s are superb, but £139 or so. The 551s seem very good, too, but after less than two weeks, who can judge robustness?

Founds the 751s for about 80 quid so they are a contender, also been looking at Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 Pro, they are over 100 but they seem to be reviewing quite well.

751s for £80?

Where???

I like the UE SFi 5 Pro (and I like the SFi 5EB too) but they're not comfortable, and having to route the cables behind your ear is sometimes a bit of a 'faff'. And while they're good, they're good by 2006 standards. I'd rate the Denon 751s as being considerably better. That's just me, of course.

I did a search in Google shopping for that model and had a number of hits, not sure if I am allowed to post direct links on this forum. Will send you a PM.

Thanks for the PM. That's fantastic. iheadphones.co.uk are obviously UK based, and have some good bargains.

The single-piece cord C700 is even cheaper at £59!
