is anyone else experiencing Safari just crashing. It's crashed when scrolling on a page. It's crashed when a page has been completely loaded and I was reading it. It's also crashed while loading a page. I first thought is was the page having something in it like video or something bit it's crashed now while reading a post on iLounge mobile site too?

So, what have you tried to correct the issue? Have you restarted your iPod Touch? Have you restored it? Have you uninstalled any applications that may be causing problems?

My Touch crashes continuously whilst using Safari. I've not made any changes to it other than adding music etc. It's running 1.1.5(4B1) firmware and has 3GB of capacity left. As the main USP of the Touch over the Classic is the wifi ability and this no longer works I wish I'd saved my money and bought the latter! :shake: My old gen 4 is more reliable!!

Mine crashes virtually EVERY time I do anything other than stare at an already-loaded page in Safari; it crashed on me every time I loaded a new page on my way to this very thread.
The advanced browsing capability was a major reason I traded in my BlackBerry Curve for the iPhone 3G. It's getting rather frustating... I am going to attempt to do a full restore later tonight in the hopes that of clears up my issues.

I did my System Restore last night and so far so good. My Safari has not crashed on me so far today, so I am cautiously optimistic. I think it's unfortunate that I had to set aside three hours to babysit my phone while the restore ran, just to get my browser to work properly...

I have this problem after I have added and deleted applications. I called Apple and they didn't seem to know what causes it, so they made an appointment for me at an apple store. I really don't have time for that so I do the following whenever I have the problem:
1. Restore the iPhone to its original state using iTunes software.
2. I do NOT restore the saved settings, but set up the phone as a new phone
3. Reboot my computer (Windows Vista)
4 Restore all my music, phone books, software and the like from iTunes.
This has twice has cleared up the problem--100% success rate, except that the problem recurs after I add or delete more apps. I think what happens is a memory problem when new apps are added and deleted over the existing software.
