I've just synced my iphone with i-tunes and now it's telling me that update 2.0.1 is available to download. However when I click to download it starts off fine, maybe a little slow but then a message pops up telling me that there was a problem and that my network connection had timed out. it tells me to make sure my settings are correct and my network is active. How do I do that? as far as i'm aware my internet connection is fine.

I have had this problem with itunes ever since I got a new laptop on Vista I was told at first that it was because i'm using Firefox so I uninstalled it but it's still doing the same thing everytime I have to download an update.

Please help!!

Hello there, try downloading the firmware from an alternate location (http://tinyurl.com/iphone3-firmware201-sizlopedia) and see if it works that way. When you go to use the download, open itunes, and hold SHIFT button while clicking "update" in itunes, and manually locate the load the file for installation.

Hope this helps.

Well I finally got it to download the only problem is I can't find the file when I press shift. I'm not used to Vista and dont know where it will be.?

It came up under downloads but I've looked in there and it said folder empty. So then I typed in the file name and clicked search but I just got a error message.

It's so annoying because I really need this update because my keyboard has got such a lag!
