I have noticed that app store downloads and purchases done from the Touch are not backing up when I sync to my Mac. They are OK on the touch, but I can not get them to show up in iTunes. Has anyone else seen anything like this happening? One is a purchased app. When I go to it in the app store from the Mac, it thinks I never bought it.

Are you automatically syncing with your iTunes? If you are then check your settings. I don't know if there is a setting for NOT copying purchases....

There are no new settings related to apps in the preferences, and the purchases section does not have anything BUT
If you right click on your iPod on the left sidebar, there is an option called "Transfer Purchases" and it will force transfer purchases from the iPod to your PC/Mac. I am surprised that this is a manual setting, but it worked. Thanks for getting me to poke around. That is when I discovered it.
