Calendar Icon

I like how with the SMS icon or Email icon we see how many new messages there are, but I wonder why Apple doesn't show how many events are for today with the Calendar icon. That would have been helpful.

A number does show up there, however it only shows the number of new calendar "Invitations" that you have not read or responded to.

Ahhh... thanks for telling me. I think it would have been more helpful if it shows you how many events you have today.
