A couple of questions. I just signed up for Pandora. Seems like a very interesting service. Some of the songs seem to fade out mid play. Is this normal? Is there a free and paid service for the application store? It said it was free and their web site mentioned that the free service is advertising based but I haven't heard any ads? Finally, I have docked my itouch at home to a stereo and it times out and locks. Is there a way to have the itough not lock if it is docked and powered but it will lock after a minute if it is not powered and running on a battery. Thanks!

I've been using Pandora on my touch for a few weeks now. I've not noticed any consistent fade-outs. But, like with anything, I have experienced a few hiccups (songs hanging, jumping to a new song in the middle of one, application lock-ups). But those have been very few and far between. It's mostly worked beautifully.

I, too, have wondered about the ads. I haven't heard any either, either on my touch or while listening on the Web. I do see some static ads on the site while listening on the Web. Maybe someone with more experience with Pandora can shed some light on it.

Finally, rearding the timeout, the answer is no. :(

There is currently no way to keep the screen on while playing Pandora outside of setting Auto-lock to Never. If you are playing music from your library, however, the screen never locks if you have the touch connected to a power source. It just dims. But, like any iPod, if you aren't playing music, then the screen shuts off after a time. And since Pandora is an app and not your music library, the touch really doesn't know you're listening to music. I do wish we had the option to not auto-lock though. I would like to easily thumbs up or thumbs down a song, and it's annoying to have to unlock the display first.
