ipod touch > Renaming icon subtitles/replacing icons

hi,

is it possible to rename icon subtitles (e.g. "Video" into "Movie") and/or replacing an existing icon with another icon without hacking the ipod touch?

quick answer: no

you must be able to access your iPod's files with SSH to change application names or icons. In case you decide it is worth it, here is a guide for the application name:

And the icon is easy, there is a file called "icon.png" in each application's folder that you can replace or edit to your liking.
