iPhone won't install - "the Class Installer Has Denied, the request to install .."

Error message : The class installer has denied the request to install or upgrade this device.

Hi, I am trying to get my iphone to connect to my PC and itunes but I am getting this error when the computer tries to install the iphone device. It seems to be related to the imaging camera part of the install.
I googled it and cannot seem to find the right answer.
- I've tried deleting all USB devices as one suggested and that did not work.
- I've also tried the install Scanner and Camera drivers but to no avail. ( The camera drivers didn't install themselves , got errors )

I have Windows XP SP2

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is this an iPhone 3G?

Is this your first time connecting the phone to iTunes or are you just trying to sync and this happened?

What software version are you using on the phone?

Do you have pictures on the phone currently?

Yes, Black 16GB iPhone 3G

First time ( I have an IPOD Video that was previously installed prior.)

What software version are you using on the phone?
2.0 ( 5A347)

Do you have pictures on the phone currently?
Yes, I used work's PC to put them there where the iphone worked fine.
