iremote not working/connecting to cpu

I have a jailbroken iphone 2.0 and the latest itunes update 7.7.1.11 and I can't find the device unless it is connected via usb. Any ideas why it will not communicate to use the remote? I was about to buy a remote but i was told about this feature and got a first gen iphone.

might be your router. I can't get itunes to see my iPhone as a remote device behind mine and I don't know what ports to forward.

Ill give that a look and play around with the settings. I set up the network so if I break it i can fix it LOL.

Check your Edit>Preferences>Sharing tab. If it says you need to enable Bonjour, do it. Go into your Add+Remove Programs, and tell it to repair. This will fix it.

If you don't have that message, your firewall is blocking the .exe file called MSDN....exe, or something like that (it's in the C:/PF/Bonjour folder).

Either way you go, if you repair Bonjour, this should fix it.
