very weird problem with album art on iPhone

Hello everyone,

I have a 8GB iPhone (2G) and a 32GB iPod Touch. I sync everything on my iPod Touch, and only selected play lists on the iPhone due to the smaller capacity.

On my iPod Touch, all the album art works perfectly fine. However, when I sync things onto my iPhone, about 1/2 of all album arts are missing. Further more, some of them have misplaced album arts, where the album art for another album shows up on an incorrect album.

If anyone knows what's going on or if there is a bug please let me know! Thank you.

This can happen if you've done a lot of artwork editing in your library, but there may be other causes. For the Touch and iPhone, the solution would be to remove and reload all the music. You don't need to restore your iPhone, but that's not probably not much more time consuming than re-loading it from scratch anyway.

If you don't want to restore the iPhone, the easiest way to remove and re-load the songs might be to change your iPhone to sync only to an empty playlist, and then change it back to sync to the playlist that you normally sync to.

I tried removing all songs and re-syncing, but it is still doing the same thing. Any other suggestions?
