I just recently bought myself an ipod touch and will be buying a pair of earphones for them but given that I dont know much about the subject, im not sure which to go for

my options atm are etymotic er6i's or shure se210s

theyre the only 2 which ive read anything about, but which would you recommend?
and are there any other good alternatives around the same price point? i cant stretch much higher than the cost of the se210s

my choice in music varies alot, but more often than not it comes down to heavy metal, progressive rock, or acoustic guitar instrumental

so can anyone recommend a good pair of earphones for me?

when i bought my iPod Touch (I think it was about 9-10 months ago) i bought myself a pair of Er6i's and i absolutely ADORE them. a couple quick pieces of knowledge though... 1. canalphones take awhile to get used to( even if you have used them before the triple flanged ones are a new experience) 2. read up on how to insert them well to get a perfect seal. and 3. even if you don't like foam eartips, try using the supplied ones... I was pleasantly surprised with them.

(oh P.S. make sure you know how you will be using the earphones before you buy them [Example: if you will be wearing them for short periods of time ~5mins] if used like this the time taken to insert and take out the earphones is just too much effort. get a pair of audio technika {cant spell} earbuds instead)

Sorry for any typos this was written on my ipod :P
