I'm struggling with ear buds with uneven length cords, is there a best way to wear them? I keep pulling them out when I move

they have silicon tips? you using the wrong size? they should be firmly lodged in the ear for one. second the J cords longer cord goes around the back of your neck. that lends support. and if you must, string it under your shirt to lower the strain. normally the J cord is more secure than a Y cord in my experience. the main cord hangs more naturally than the y cord. and one ear listening is easier since you can just take the longer right side out and tuck it under your shirt. plus you can take both sides out and let them dangle around your neck temporarily whereas a y cord has no such option

For assymetric cords I typically wrap them behind my head if I'm not moving a lot. Otherwise I just let them hang in front of me. It also depends on the style. Some are designed to wrap the cable over your ears in order to keep the cables and the ear buds most secure.
