View Full Version : Etymotic ER-6i ear tip replacement

Is there a set timeframe when one should replace the eartips on ER-6i's? Or is it just when they start being all nasty? I have a set and have cleaned the eartips a couple of times but am now having issues with them coming off when I remove them from my ears. Is this a symptom of needing replacement? Thanks for any input.
It varies widely depending on the user. I don't find that I need to replace them very often, just cleaning them does the trick. I use the gray tips, though. The white ones I used to have I replaced all the time b/c they turned yellow over time, which was gross.

I find that the yellow ones last about 3-4 weeks. Mine don't get yucky, but they do lose their springiness, which makes them uncomfortable and they don't seal as well.

That sounds more like the tips are not mounted properly.
U can also "twist" them out, rather doing a one-yank (ouch!) motion.
