Keyboard Lag Solved!

So I have figured out in what situation the keyboard lag presents itself. It starts happening after you start Google Maps/GPS.

Solution:
1) Go into Settings -> General -> Location Services
2) Change Location Services to 'Off'
3) Press Settings to exit.
4) Repeat steps 1 & 2, but this time change it to 'On'
5) The keyboard lag will then go disappear.

This isn't a permanent solution, but it is faster than restarting the iPhone.

Just curious, what would happen if I kept the Location Services off?

Yeah, I leave mine off all the time.. lag still persists. I can't type on forums with it, every single letter I type makes the screen jump to another spot on the page then back again. It's EXTREMELY annoying and quite distracting.

I have found that mine only lags if i have it in "ring" mode. It is as if the sound effect of the button push is what is slowing down the keyboard.

When i switch my 3G to vibrate and then type it works perfectly.

borg54...Or you could just turn off the keyboard sounds in settings. I always have it set to off, the keyboard clicks annoy the hell out of me and everyone in my general area. Why do you need clicks anyway? You can see whether it has inputted the letter by whether it shows the letter in the body of text.

Don't even get me started on locking sounds. People will locking sounds should have their phones confiscated. No one else cares you opened your phone and you know you opened your phone because you can see the keys ;) . Rant over.
