2.0 update giving me grief

Hi all,
I got a macbook and iPod touch for college, and recently updated the touch software to 2.0. Since I have, its been giving me all kinds of trouble. It won't let me check my email, yet it worked fine before the upgrade. I've tried turning push on/ off as well as restoring it from a backup but nothing works. Has anyone else had this problem? I want to totally restore the iPod, but I'm scared that it will delete the 2.0 upgrade and I don't want to have to pay for another one. Help!

Hi, I believe that the v2.0 software that you have purchased is tied to your iTunes account, not to the iPod touch. So, reformatting is fine I think. Though, I would keep the receipt that Apple has sent you in your email as proof should you encounter any problems. As for your email problem, have you tried to delete that email account on the touch and then adding it again?
