Return to home screen

I was wondering if there's someway to return to home screen without having to push the home button everytime.

I think it would be more easy tapping on some option or doing a gesture on the screen.

It's also scary to think that if the home button starts to fail due to continuous use my iPod will be completely useless.

Using that theory, we should all be scared witless that our non-touch iPods will be rendered useless if the clickwheels stop working...

They are built, tested and re-tested to breaking point. Simple R & D methodology.

If it fails within Warranty period - it's a simple fix/replace policy

If it fails outside of that, there's a good case for purchasing applecare.

Muffinman: Is not lazyness just that as I said as this button is used contantly I was affraid that it will fail.

But as jasoncordelle has said this should pass many quality testing and I'm now sure that the button stands more presses that what it seems.

Anyway I think it would be great to have the option of go to home from the top bar. For example when you are in the now playing screen you can tap on the top left to go back to the main option. Why not have one more step to the home?
