I just spent 45 minutes doing searches on the form and couldn't find anything, I am hoping someone can help.

I use Handbrake for the Mac. After getting 2.0 Upgrade I decided to convert a movie collection I have. To spead it up, there's 30 episodes, I downloaded and installed the XP version of Handbrake. The problem is, the Windows version tells me that the DVD is encrypted and can't read it, but the same DVDs read and are copied by Handbrake for Mac. Is there something I am missing?

Thank you.

The Mac version of Handbrake can handle the copy protection on the dvd better than the Windows version. Search for a program call DVD43 to run with HandBrake on Windows to help with the copy protection. DVD43 must be running with a happy face in the background before you choose the dvd in Handbrake.

To be specific, the handbrake for windows does not have any integrated encryption stripping properties as the native mac version does ;)

Nope; i installed DVD43 couldn't get a green face, then installed Patin-Couffin too and i did get the green smiley after putting the CD back in but when having Handbrake read the source it gives the exact error of:
