I've bought and downloaded the 2.0 update. I've tried to install it at least 20 times now, on two different computers, but the installation gets about 1/3 of the way through and stops, giving a message "The iPod "iPod" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (6)." In can downgrade to v.1.1.4, but each time I try upgrading, I'm back to "Error (6)," and have to reinstall 1.1.4.
And, to rub salt in the wound, I lose the January apps package.
I've seen several complaints about this at various forums, but no solutions. Anybody have ideas? I'm working on XP and/or Vista.
