Call me slow (please don't) but these new apps are sometimes referred to as web apps.
The question: do all these apps ONLY work IF you are online - which makes them useless for many people most of the time?
I like the look of Texas Hold 'em, Notepad, Sketch and a few others but even on their web sites this is not made clear!

I have found that it is mostly a trial and error in finding web access apps. Some games will work OK without the web, but about 50% of my apps that I have downloaded require web access. My biggest bummer was the free Bible with 9 translations, which was great, but is strictly web enabled. My guess if that if it looks like it should contain a lot of data and only 1Mb in size, then it requires a web connection.

It completely depends on the app. I do wish the developer of each app would let you know if it requires web access or not.

Can't even get them to respond to an email query - and we're expected to pay for many of these apps too! Shame - it seems such an obvious question since wifi access just eats battery life!
