Is there anyway they can just use their upgrade eligibility but give me the iphone on my number with the data plan? Then I was just going to hand down my blackjack II to them. Think this would work? If it was any other phone I'd just buy it regularly then switch sims but I heard it won't work with an Iphone. So any help?

Why don't you just switch phones? That would be easiest. If one user has texts or something that the other doesn't, just switch that over :)

Edit: I had a similar issue with my Verizon plan a while back.

Yeah, not true. That's part of what the sim slot is for- transfer of ownership. It will work just fine.
