Hi, First time poster and new ipod classic owner.
I ride a bike to work a few times a week. I don't want to block out all ambient noise, what would be a good option ?
BTW, I find the supplied earplugs a bit of an uncomfortable joke

Hi, I cycle to work every day and use my iPod. My Grado sr60's are the best of both worlds - they sound great and you can hear what's going on around you. Only downside is the cable is a bit chunky but I can stand the compromise.

When I'm on city streets, I leave the left earbud of my Sony EX-71s out. There's too many bad drivers here. :(

Try the sennheiser sport range. The omx70 are sport earbuds with decent sound and a good price (around USD $40)
PS congrats on the ipod too :)

i use shure se210's to block out sound for subway riding etc. i would not want to wear them while bike riding for safety. sometimes you need to hear what's going on around you.
