I have just sold my Ipod Touch and will be useing the cash to help fund a new 3G 16gb black iPhone. My questions are do I need to get it on the 11th(My wife is going to buy it for me for my birthday on the 30th) in order for me to pay 299 with a 2 year contract? I dont have AT&T and will be getting a new line so its not an upgrade. I was planning on getting it a few weeks after the release. I thought I read somewhere that the 199 and 299 price was for new activation on the day it gets released. LMK:D

Price will not change after July 11th .it will only be available at Att or apple stores with the 2 year agreement. Since you are new to ATT they will bill you $ 36.00 activation fee on your first statement.The unlimited data is $ 30.00 per month. If you want to add text messages you can pick the lowest plan of $5.00 for 200 messages per month.

I thought the plan 450 minute plan was 69.99 a month and it included unlimited data. Text is not included I know but lmk what. I don't want any surprise's. Look here.

The plan is separated into voice and data. The voice for 450 minutes is $39.99 while the unlimited data is $30 (no text). So yeah, it's $69.99/mo.
