iPhone 3g or LG Prada?

im contemplating whether to get the LG dare or the iphone 3g? The pros and cons are

Lg Dare
3.2 Mega pixel camera/ video with flash
send and receive videos and pics messaging
a pro for me is ill have signal in my room, while now with at&t i have little signal and its hard to make calls in my room in the basement.

iPhone
Wifi
3g? but i think all verizon phones have 3g fast network too.
and i love itunes and buying music so i like that it plays music, but idk

My concern is, will the new iPhone 3g, give me better service in the basement, because its a different network, or the 3g will just effect speed.

I think the 3g will give you better call quality but I don't think its better bars but I could be wrong. You could get a cell repeater that will boost the signal but that will set you back another $250 or so.
Sounds like you should go with the service that will let you make calls.

i acctually have more bars at times. plus i really like the iphone better than the prada. i use the wifi alot and i use itunes for everything. the lg prada has to use mp3 files so i can't put files i bought with itunes on there.

The Prada, like nearly every Verizon phone is 3G. However, if you like buying music on the phone itslef, the iPhone is better. Verizon charges exorbitant amounts for music that can only be played on one device.

thanks guys. yea im gonna stick with at&t, plus i just switched over this may, so im not gonna pay 200 to cancel to sign up with verizon, when i switched from verizon to at&t to get the iphone. I guess i just got excited cause of the LG Dare.

i wonder though since with verizon i got a few more bars in the basement, if it was cause it was 3g and maybe now that at&t iphone will be 3g, i will get more bars. It is possible that i could have more 3g towers around me.. no?

also is bars a matter of how fast they send out the signal or how many towers?

You may have more 3G towers. The display on the phone just shows the signal strength.

There are a lot of things besdes the number of bars on your phone that affect the signal - atmospheric conditions, interference from other electrical equipment and things like elevators have an effect on signal quality - but not always on the strength of the signal.

It sounds liek an oxymoron, but the strength of the signal is not always a good baromoter of the signal quality.
