2. Can we transffer songs/anything from pc to ipod directly radher then from itunes? [it is cumbersome to add everything from itunes]
3. if i want to copy some data to it, then how to do it? in my computer no extra drive is seen which as seen with my friend's ipod classic 80gb.
4. which video formats are supported? which convertor you recommend?

5. which other things i shd do to decorate/optimize my ipod touch? recommend me some interesting and nice things..
6. like ipod classic, ipod touch doesnt have tv out suppot?

1. No, the iPod's touch screen is a different kind of screen than older touch screen. No stylii are necessary.
2. Not sure. Certainly not without jailbreaking, anyway.
3. Unfortunately, the iPod touch is not useable as a hard disk like older iPods. If you want to copy data to it other than what is achievable through iTunes, you will need to Jailbreak it.
4. See here: http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/specs.html
I use Handbreak to reencode DVDs for the iPod Touch. Works great.
5. Like what? Cases? What?
6. The touch DOES have TV out (and so does the classic, btw) but you need one of Apple's new cables for it to function properly.

You can search Google and the forums to find all of this information. Here it goes though:
1. Jailbreaking an iPod touch means that the firmware is simply opened up. It allows you to install non-Apple approved applications such as NES emulators, other games, e-mail clients, and so on. It also allows you to use your iPod touch to store data other than your media files. That is the only way to store such data and use your iPod touch as a "pendrive."
2. Handbrake is probably the best, free video conversion apps for both Mac OS and Windows. I have a Windows Vista Business powered notebook running Handbrake right now. It also works on Windows XP.
