A few questions from a touch newbie

Hi,

I've just got it today...

1) How can I sort my albums like I have it in my iTunes? I have it sorted by "Album by year", so it's sorted by artists' discographies.

2) Is it normal that the home button is a bit loosen?

3) When I try to set up my account on itunes and I want to choose PayPal, but when I click continue, nothing happens.

Thanks, I'll probably have more, but these are just the 1st things I've experienced.

1) You can't. Annoying, I know.

2) slightly as its supposed to be pressed. It shouldn't come out of course, but it should be able to very slightly within its hole.

3) make sure popups are allowed, as of course to use paypal iTunes must move over to your standard internet browser

1) You can setup a playlist with the albums in that order. The order will then be replicated on the iPod.

Thanks a lot, I've been actually playing with my touch a lot, so I got the albums to sort as I want, I just simply rewrote the "Sort Album" thing in iTunes.

But I have some more questions:
a) Can I download the January upgrade somehow when I don't live in the area with its iTunes? I mean there should be soon since iPhone 3G is coming to my country in a few months, but still...

b) How can I put more pictures into the "wallpaper" section?

c) Since I bought the touch via eBay, the seller said that it was brand new and with 1 year apple warranty. I thought that I will get some warranty paper or something, so I asked him and he told me that I just had to register my iPod at the apple website and I get the automatic warranty. I did it, but can I ask you whether it's true or not? How can I then get my iPod repaired in a shop?

You do need an iTunes account, so you will probably have to wait.

If you register then the serial number of the iPod will be recorded with Apple. So they will know that your iPod is in warranty if you take it a registered Apple repairer.

On the second, no, I don't think mobile Safari has a home page. It just opens the last page you had open.

Ok, thank you very much. After using it a while, I have two other question.

I uploaded some photo albums to my touch, but I hate that "Photo Library" file that shows up above all the albums. Furthermore, when I had only one album there, touch didn't show me the amount of the photos in the album, now, when there are more, it does show. Is there a way how to get rid of these things?
Then, I uploaded an album with 1209 pictures and the size on my computer is about 80MB. But in the iPod is took at least 600MB. How come?

And finally, I have 1235 in my iPod, but when I go to the Songs section and I press SHUFFLE, there are only 1211 songs shuffling. I know I have two songs out of shuffle, but that's just two...

I'm not sure about your first question...don't think it's possible to modify the photo app like that, though...not sure on the pic size question.

On the Second question: Is that 1235 number including music videos, regular videos, podcasts, etc, that are not normally included in shuffle? If so, that may be the reason for the discrepancy.

No, it's just the music. I have no videos, podcasts or any other possible thing (except the photos) in my ipod at the time.

Is there a way how to put on a TV series logo (for example of Family Guy) to the VIDEOS sections, but still have different logos ("album artwork") for each episode?

Yeah. Just right click each video, and go to Get Info. In get info go to the last tab, and it will allow you to paste custom artwork and delete the current artwork.

one more time about the videos... how can I sort them so that the FIRST episode of a season is on the top? I think I've tried all possibilities on the Sorting panel... :(

I don't think there is a way to do that though it would be good
