Is there any difference between the ipod touch and the ipod classic as in music quality and loudness. I have just bought a 16gb ipod touch from the US as I knew about the EU volume cap. If there is anyone thinking, shall I buy a US ipod then the answer is YES. I am using Sennheiser CX500 earbuds and I cannot have the volume all the way up as it hurts my ears. There is a big noticible differnence between US and EU ipods. I listened to my mates EU touch through the same earbuds and was surprised just how much of a difference there is between the US and EU ipod touches when the vol;ume is turned allthe wasy up.

Anyway back to my question, which model is the best sound quality wise, the classic or the touch?? I have never listened to an ipod classic thats why I am asking the question.

They are both about the same but I would give the edge to the iPod classic. The average listener isn't going to notice a difference between the two model though other than the slight hiss heard in the iPod touch.

So use your iPod touch without worrying about audio quality as it is pretty good (for an iPod).

I have piicked up the slight hiss, but its more noticable on some tracks whilst not as much as on others. I still love my touch though. The only trouble I am having is setting up my email account on it but I will no doubt get round it in due course.
