Restoring iTouch

If I've downloaded and installed the January update will it be deleted from my iTouch if I have to restore it at any time?

Uh, yeah it does. I restored my touch last night and it only put the 1.1.4 with no software upgrade on my touch. I've been despertally looking for a solution, but havn't found one yet. DO NOT restore your ipod.

I rang the Apple Tech Support and this is what they said. Yes it does delete but update but you can re-install it by doing one of the following?:-

(1)
Go to Finder-----> Library------->iTunes------>Mobile Applications then look for the file iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa

Double click and follow instructions.

OR

(2)
Connect the iTouch up to the Mac then whilst holding the ALT key down click Restore.


Hope that helps it's just a shame that Apple don't make this common knowledge but perhaps they do somewhere!
