I know this has probably already been asked, but I can't find it anywhere, so i'll get to it.

My home button was being weird, I'd hit it and it didn't do anything, so I decided to reset the my iPod touch from the iPod itself. So I went to Settings --> General --> Reset --> Erase All Content and Settings. And then I connected it back to my computer and backed it up with the settings iTunes saves. So I have all my information like calender entries, Contacts and even my Icons that I have made, but it says I don't have the software upgrades when clearly I have parts of it. Except I can't move my Icons around and I don't have Notes, Google, Weather on my screen. So how do I get the software upgrade back onto my iPod?

Are you using the same or a different computer?

On the same one, just re-sync the touch and make sure you are logged into the same iTunes account you purchased with.

it will resync back.

I'm on the same computer, and when I sync it, it still doesn't put the upgrade on it. Its werid, because half of the upgrade is on there. Like that silver bar on the home screen at the bottom of the screen is there. I can edit my calendar. But I can't move my Icons, even the ones that I have made, and notes and the other apps are there.

That dock is not party of the software upgrade.
It is an integral part of the Operating System, not locked under the key.

If you are running 1.1.3, update your iPod on the iTunes iPod summary page to 1.1.4

Now, try again. If that doesn't work, go to the top left hand side of iTunes, and go Store > View My Account

Select Purchase history.
Find your software upgrade purchase.

Click the button to report a problem.
Type your problem as being iTunes won't sync the update you bought across.
Send that off and they should let you re-download it.

Remember!!! For the update to sync across, you MUST be signed into iTunes under the ACCOUNT YOU BOUGHT THE UPDATE WITH.

iTunes queries the server to make sure that the update is legit and needs that password.

I was already running 1.1.4 with software upgrade. I tried restoring it from iTunes and all it did was download 1.1.4 regular and put that on there. I don't know what to do, ugh.

Did you buy them with the software updates tho?

If not, then you bought them separately.

Follow the advice I gave and stop ignoring me.

Yeah, I can't figure this out. Everytime I try to report a problem it gives me an error. This is really annoying. And I can't find anywhere on apple's web site where I can email them. What else should I try.
