Hi, my wife has an iphone now but when the 3g comes out, she's going to get the new one and I'll get her old iphone. I have a nokia 2610 right now. I want to know if I will be able to switch sims between the nokia and iphone. I don't care about moving contacts, i just want the ability to use the nokia when i do yard work instead of banging up the iphone.

Thanks!
g

You will probably have to unlock it, which is pretty simple now, unless the Nokia is on the same carrier as the iPhone. Give it a try and see if it works, since you cannot break anything. My phone is unlocked and it regularly has my sons tmoble sim in it, as well as my daughters ATT sim. Works great, and my daughter is getting my phone when the new one comes out. BTW, your contacts will transfer if you save them to the phone. IMO, one of the reasons to go with a GSM carrier is to be able to save everything to the sim card for easy transfer to another phone.

ighost, I think southsideIrish is misinterpreting your question. If you use your wife's iphone you will need an iPhone specific sim from AT&T, and it likely already has one. You can then use this sim in your old nokia with no problems for yardwork. Thats what I do with my old nokia anytime my band has a gig or if I go out on the lake.
