sorry if this has been asked before but this is my first time on this board. i looked around but could not find the answers. anyway here goes ...

is it best to keep the eq off or on flat or on another setting when using in the car? should I only use my car stereo bass and treble or not use them at all?

another car question ... i have a 2G ipod with no line out (except from the dock). is it better to hook the tape adapter to the line out of the dock or the headphone jack of the ipod? what's the difference?

thanks a bunch.

For some reason I find 'Rock' EQ setting the best...but thats just me.

I turned off the EQ and just use the settings on my head unit. The bass booster sounds best to me when I am wearing the headphones, but there is too much bass when it's plugged in my truck.

I'm using a hardwired fm modulator and I find that the bass reducer setting is best. Without it, the bass is a bit too muddy.

Are you connecting through the headphone jack or through the line out? I would think (hope?) that the line out isn't affected by the EQ settings. Of course I'm at work so can't test ...

I would stick with the head unit EQ settings. But hey, do what sounds best!

I'm connecting through the dock's line out. That is effected by the EQ settings.

I can vouch for that - I find it to be affected as well. With the bass booster on it distorts something awful at high volumes...
